Oden joins the dark side?

jonathan: Dikembe Mutombo, one of the greatest ambassadors & defensive forces in the history of the game, has officially called it quits. Thank god Oden didn't wag his finger at him when Deke went down. On second thought, that could have been Oden's Hollywood Hogan moment of greatness.
me: I saw that post on BeyondBowie (I think)
    jonathan: yeah
me: total chance to become a Bad Boy of the NBA
    jonathan: hahah
me: like he walks out in a cape.
    me: BOOOOOOOOO

Isaac and I were experimenting with iTunes DJ and found a great bug where iTunes loops the crossfade transition then continues layering on top of that.

"Obama’s predecessor secretly invoked the power to suspend the First and Fourth Amendments for seven years, authorized the seizure and torture of American citizens, launched two decade-long wars of attrition, doubled the national debt, presided over the worst financial bubble since the 1930s, provided the weakest level of economic growth in decades, and left the US in the grip of the steepest depression since the 1930s. But after five weeks, it’s Obama who should be impeached? Ooookaaaay."

The Plenty Ambulance Service

In 1982, my family packed all our belongings in a GMC van and drove from The Farm in Summertown, TN to our new home in the South Bronx. My dad was an EMT, and we moved up to the S Bronx so he could try and save the world by delivering free emergency medical service to the worst ghetto in America.

Goosebumps. As a kid I was lucky enough to meet Pete Seeger on the Clearwater. Sharon Jones’ version of “This Land” kicks some serious ass, but this one pretty much makes me feel like a hippie child again.

I’m not a big fan of corporate sponsorship of inspirational ideas; but this really resonates. One of my goals for 2009 is: fail faster and more often.

Blazers adjust their snoozing -- to stop losing

I love this. Add “sleep management” to the reasons why the Portland Trailblazers are going to be the best team in the league starting soon and continuing for a long long time.

From the article, some of the other innovations include “a quantitative analysis expert to build [GM Kevin Pritchard’s] scouting database, … a body mass doctor to explore why the team was experiencing so many injuries. And a psychologist [who] often travels with the team, consulting with players and coaches.”

It’s a great time to be a Blazers fan.
